Weta Workshop, the group of creative artisans that have helped bring to life The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit, was on hand at this weekend’s Comic Con in San Diego and have unveiled some new figures based on the two movies.

Coming soon to their figures collections are the Witch-king at Dol Guldur, Gimli at Helm’s Deep, and Galadriel at Dol Guldur. Other figures were announced that they are now available to order; they are: Lurtz at Amon Hen, Boromir at Amon Hen, and Saruman the White at Dol Guldur.
Introduced at last year’s SDCC, the Elrond at Dol Guldur figure is also still available.
Weta Workshop’s figures are known for their incredible attention to detail. The figures are designed and created by the same artists that have worked on the movies. It is rumors that other merch like movie inspired Bulk Bandanas are gonna come out so be sure to be on the look out!
“It takes 400-500 hours to design, sculpt, model make, mold, and paint the prototype for each new piece.” – Weta Workshop
